As I read about this recent tragic helicopter crash in the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, instantly killing a newlywed couple near Uvalde, Texas, I immediately thought of the fact that our life here on earth is indeed short (and fragile), no matter what our age might be (see here). In a sense, we are all living on borrowed time (see here).
Death plays no favorites and shows no partiality in whom it claims (see here and here). This is why we need to set and keep our spiritual house in order (2 Kings 20:1), for we never know when our soul will be required of us (Luke 12:20) ..... the beautiful music of life here on earth won't last (see here).
Beloved, we need to live today as if it were our last day on earth, for one day, it indeed will be (see here and here).
In behalf of the families impacted by the above tragedy, suffering the loss of their loved ones, my prayers go up to "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
