After reading this American Thinker article regarding the plot to impeach President Trump, this writer comes away with the following two takeaways:1) That truth is no longer a commodity but a rarity in today's society (see here).
Note the following four quotes from the above article regarding truth:
(1) "To hardcore lefties, the truth is like sunshine to a vampire."
(2) "They are as resistant to reason, facts and truth as pols like Schiff. They will cut off lifelong friends and family rather than confront a fact in opposition to their own false beliefs."
(3) "Despite the release of the Mueller Report, Trump-deranged leftists still cling to the false notion that Trump colluded with Russia to defeat Hillary when the truth, the facts, have long been available to the public."
(4) "As Dennis Prager often repeats, truth is not a leftist value. Lies in service of their agenda are like breathing to leftists."
2) As a society, we desperately need to keep Christianity as the moral bedrock of our nation, because without God, "men become monsters" (see here). Also note Jude 1:5-16.
Once last observation from the above American Thinker article: Note the last two key words: "lies and deception." Doesn't this sound like Satan's modus operandi? (Genesis 3:13; John 8:44).
