Alcohol Now Delivered Straight To Your Door!

Due to ever-expanding technology, this writer knew it would only be a matter of time before individuals could order alcohol online here in Texas. Well folks, that time is now here.

As this KVIA article indicates, through the local El Paso SPEC'S website (see here) partnering with  Drizly delivery service (see here), individuals who are 21 years or older (age verification by an ID card), can now order and have delivered alcohol straight to their residence, i.e. front door.

And sad to say, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott signed a bill in June of 2019, making the delivery of alcohol legal here in Texas (see here). And then to top it all off, in a video posted on Twitter, Governor Abbott declares regarding alcohol consumption, "Enjoy responsibly." Folks, there's no way possible that any human being on the face of the earth can "drink responsibly" (that phrase is an oxymoron -- see Brown University study here). In fact, there is a degree of irresponsibility that takes place after consuming only “one drink” (a shot glass worth).

The wise man Solomon was right. “Wine is a mocker, Intoxicating drink arouses brawling, And whosoever is led astray by it is not wise” (Proverbs 20:1). Also note Proverbs 31:1-9, and what King Lemuel's mother warned him about "strong drink. Here is a story of an unhappy woman who complained that her husband thought it funny to make her pet cat drunk by pouring gin into its milk (folks, it's really not funny at all!).

The bottom line is this: As Christians, we can't drink alcohol and be pleasing to God (see the ten "E" principles). In addition to thinking about becoming Christians, non-Christians need to think about the health issues and negative aspect that the consumption of alcohol brings about (see here and here). Let's look at the overwhelming scriptural evidence presented in the below alcohol related articles and seriously "think" about it! Our eternal soul is at stake.
