Which Is More Important .... Knowledge Or Wisdom?

The above titled question is what I asked my adult Bible class yesterday. The simple answer is that without the proper knowledge of God's word (2 Timothy 2:15; Proverbs 1:7) and the wisdom to make personal application of the Word (Proverbs 4:7), an individual will not be able to come to a full understanding of God's word (knowledge and wisdom are interconnected). The inspired apostle Paul fully understood this concept in Ephesians 3:1-4, where he emphasizes the word "read" and "understand" connecting them to the word "gospel" in verse 6 - see article).

This is why the Proverb writer tells us that "Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding" (Proverbs 4:7; cf. Proverbs 1:5). An understanding of what? Of the knowledge found in God's word (2 Timothy 2:15; Psalm 1:1-2).

The following two articles emphasize the importance of interconnecting the words "knowledge" and "wisdom": See here and here.
