Parental Teaching Of Modesty And Decorum

After discussing biblical solutions to the world's problems this morning with my Christian friends at our favorite morning restaurant, this writer made two observations: (1) that mankind is similar to a bull in a china closet -- destroying everything in its path, without considering the consequences of its bullheaded mindset.

What's the solution? See here; (2) after observing two young girls (preteens) wearing short shorts in the restaurant, I'm wondering why they wear such immodest clothing? Here is the answer, along with some suggestions and solutions. Also, read this article about immodesty at school and in the workplace.

Young ladies, if you are reading this article, please understand that God wants what's best for you (Deuteronomy 6:24-25; 10:12-13). And as such, He wants you to maintain your moral purity for a godly man that you will possibly marry one day. And know this as well -- any young man who has been taught moral values, does not want a dirty rose for his wife.

Parents, we must teach our children and grandchildren (Psalm 78:1-8morality and moral valuesmodesty and decorum, if we want them to enter the heavenly realm after this life is concluded. Rest assured, there will be no immoral people in heaven (1 Corinthians 6; Galations 5:16-26; Ephesians 5:1-5; 1 Timothy 1:9-10; Hebrews 12:14-17; Revelation 21:27) (see article).

And one more piece of wisdom: Parents, teach your children to be a leader (don't follow the crowd - Exodus 23:2), remembering that doing wrong is always wrong, and to "think" for themselves, no matter what their peers might say or think of them. Do what God says is right, no matter what the consequences, knowing that you and God constitute a majority! (Acts 4:13-21; Acts 5:17-29).
