With the rapid expansion of human knowledge, comes a tendency for man to think that he is his own god (Genesis 3:5; 11:1-9; Acts 11:20-23 NET), and as such, doesn't need the only true and living God (Deuteronomy 4:35; 39; 1 Kings 8:60; Isaiah 45:5-6,18,21-22; Isaiah 46:9).
Beloved, this is a faulty conclusion (and could be a fatal one - Romans 1:16-32), simply because mankind needs God, but as self-sustaining deity, God doesn't need us (Acts 17:24-25).
The question that should be raised then is this: How do we acquire a knowledge of God's word?
The answer is, by diligently studying and meditating on it (2 Timothy 2:15 ASV; 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV; Psalm 1:1-2 NKJV), on a "daily" basis (Psalm 1:2; Acts 17:11).
Question: How long a time period does this process take?
Answer: A lifetime (Acts 15:20-27; Philippians 3:1-17; 2 Timothy 4:1-8 MEV).
