The Democratic Party And God

After reading this American Thinker article this morning, I'm reminded of the following Horace Greeley quote:

It is impossible to enslave, mentally or socially, a bible-reading people. The principles of the bible are the groundwork of human freedom” (source).

Quoting from the above American Thinker article:

"To Jefferson and the Founders, religious liberty was about protecting each man’s right to live according to his own beliefs. They knew that if government was allowed to invade the space between a man and his God or force him to violate his own conscience, there would be no limit to government oppression. Thus, they placed religious liberty first in the Bill of Rights, without it every other freedom we hold dear would fall."

From the above quote, we can plainly see that violating our conscience would not only place us at odds with God's word, but with God Himself. Our true freedom would then forever be lost and we would spend an eternity in hell, separated from God (Isaiah 59:1-2Romans 6:23 - note the wages of sin is death - see definition #4).

Beloved, it would behoove the Democratic Party to reinstate God back into their platform, cease their insatiable lust for power, and cease their fruitless quest for a one world government.

An oppressive dictatorial government is not a "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" (see here).
