From a veteran who proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1969 in Okinawa and England — a Veteran’s Day salute on Monday, November 11, 2019, to all veterans who have faithfully served and are presently serving our great country.
We give thanks to our veterans, not only on this Veteran's Day, but every day for your selfless sacrifice, that we might retain the freedom to serve our Lord and our fellow man in whatever way we can (1 Corinthians 15:58; Galations 6:9-10).
Thank you, Lord for preserving our freedom to worship You, the only true and the living God (Acts 17:24-28; cf. Isaiah 41:4; Isaiah 44:6-8; Daniel 4:34; Daniel 6:26; 2 Corinthians 6:16; 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10; 1 Timothy 3:15-16; 1 Timothy 4:7-11; 1 Timothy 6:17; Hebrews 12:22).
Through Your providential care, we ask that you protect our veterans from all hurt, harm, and danger, safely returning them back to their families.
May You bless the leadership of our nation (1 Timothy 2:1-3) with godly wisdom (Proverbs 2:1-6; James 1:5), that we may find ways to live in peace and harmony with our fellow man (Romans 12:17-18), we humbly ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
