God Is Still Talking But No One Is Listening (Still)

With all of the chaos and upheaval our society is presently experiencing with the coronavirus, other diseases, and natural disasters around the world (also see here), this writer has observed the following: God is still talking but no one is listening (still). The same mindset as in Noah's society which resulted in the extermination of mankind, with the exception of Noah and his immediate family (see article).

What is God's solution to the above problems?

Let us allow God to answer through two of His inspired Old Testament prophets:

"Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts" (Zechariah 1:3). "Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the Lord of hosts (Malachi 3:7).

The key word in the above two passages, is the word "return."

As an example, note the parable of the prodigal or lost son in Luke 15:11-32 as he willingly and humbly "returned" to the father after realizing his "lost" condition (vs. 17-18 - note the phrase, "when he came to himself" - also see Psalm 119:57-64). Then note the example of a whole society (the Ninevites) returning to God in a fast and sackcloth, symbolic of a humble and obedient spirit (Jonah 3 - see specifically vs. 6-8, also  - see article).

The question now remains, will our ungodly society "listen" to what God is saying in the above scriptures, then humble themselves and "return" to God? Answer: When the money runs out, this "return" may occur sooner than later.
