From the above USA Today article, comes the following quote from Psychologist Benjamin Miller, chief strategy officer of the Well Being Trust: "It's almost a joke how simple we're trying to make these issues (underlying causes of alcohol/drug use and suicide) .... We're not changing direction, and it's getting worse."
As Dr. Miller implies, the key to addressing the above issues, is that we must change direction (and this writer totally agrees). But which direction do we go? The simple biblical answer is to go down "the road less traveled" (that's the "narrow" way, i.e., God's way - Matthew 7:13-14 - "the way of righteousness" - 2 Peter 2:21 KJV; cf. Psalm 119:172).
Our sinful and hedonistic society desperately needs to humbly return to biblical teaching, to God, and to moral sanity (see here, here, and here) in order to thwart Satan's "deal" to join him in hell for eternity.
The question is, "will our society return?" (the ancient people of Nineveh did!).
